Our Supported Accommodation Program is located in suburban residential homes in the Eastern Metropolitan Area and in appearance they are indistinguishable from the surrounding houses. Generally the houses will be gender specific (males and females housed separately).

The Supported Accommodation Program includes...


  • Informal and Formal Counselling

  • House Meetings: To organise domestic needs

  • Individual Treatment Plans

  • Referral for Appropriate Counselling When Required

  • Self Help Groups: it is recommended residents attend a minimum of three AA, NA or New Life meetings per week


Program Stages


The supported accomodation program compulsory 3 stages of negotiated time frame:
  • Stage 1: all groups, counselling
  • Stage 2: a minimum of 3 contacts per week plus attendance of specific groups by negotiation
  • Stage 3: moving on - minimum contact


During the first program stages it is compulsory to attend the following groups...


  • Education Group: Self esteem, assertiveness, anger management, goal setting, boundary setting.

  • A & D Recovery Information Group: Relapse prevention, understanding basics of recovery, self defeating learned behaviour, etc.

  • Transactional Analysis: A way of exploring human behaviours and feelings in order to understand ourselves and others. "If I am part of a problem, I can also be part of the answer."

  • Supported Accommodation Groups: 2 per week
