Wednesday Night Support Group
Over the next 26 weeks, we will present to you a step by step approach to recovery as detailed in the 'Big Books' of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous and information and support on living issues which do not 'go away' because we stop drinking/using.
A method of recovery is crucial to most people finding their way through the doors of AA and NA, their sanity and lives depend on it yet many sit in meetings week after week and eventually stop attending because their lives do not improve. They have failed to grasp the importance of the '12 Step' suggested program designed by the first 100 and published in the 'Big Books' of the 12 Step Fellowships, detailing a planned program which facilitates recovery.
The group will consist of video material and the sharing of peoples 'experiences, strength and hope' and include...
- The Steps:
- Step 1: Understanding the exact nature of the problem
- Step 2: Offering a solution to the problem
- Step 3-11: Actions to be taken to recover
- Step 12: Helping others, ensuring ongoing sobriety/clean time
- Recognition of the problem: Powerlessness
- Recognition there is a solution: Power
- The Recovery Process: Making a Decision - Taking Action - Continuous Growth (see below)
- Continuous Growth: Includes learning to deal with living issues we find difficult, without the need of a mind altering substance.
Please feel free to contact us to find out what the topic is on any given night.
